Job summary

South Baldwin Medical Group seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care and clinic operations under a physician's supervision. You will assist with procedures, prep exam rooms, manage patient intake, and help with administrative tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly.

The role requires completing a Medical Assistant program (or current externship) with 0–1 years of experience and basic computer/EMR skills. Excellent patient service and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred.
• 0–1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications and medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists with non-invasive medical procedures and takes vital signs.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms prior to visits and procedures.
• Performs patient intake duties, reports test results, and documents medical information as directed.
• Reviews and maintains daily logs and documentation.
• Supports administrative duties: pre-registering, scheduling, referrals, and insurance verification.
