Job summary

Denova Collaborative Health LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support care delivery in a Greater Phoenix area practice. You will prepare charts, greet patients, document history and vitals, and assist with procedures in an on-site 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications include a Medical Assistant certificate or CAAHEP-accredited program, plus BLS and AZ fingerprint clearance; associate degree or MA certification preferred. Bilingual candidates are valued though not required.

Qualifications

Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate or a CAAHEP-accredited program required.
An associate degree in a health-related field or certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
Six months healthcare experience preferred.
Valid and current BLS certification and Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares patient charts for visits, forms completed and integrated into records.
Welcomes patients, checks in, and escorts to exam rooms.
Records vitals, medical history, visit reasons, and documents in medical records.
Performs visual acuity screenings during physicals.
Administers injections and assists providers with procedures.
Collects blood, specimens, urine drug screenings and communicates results.
Keeps exam rooms clean and stocked, disposes of expired supplies.
Collaborates with providers to troubleshoot patient issues.
