Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center in Larchmont, NY is seeking a Physician practice Medical Assistant to perform a variety of clinical and office duties under the Physician/Provider/Nurse’s supervision. The role requires adherence to NYS Medical Assistant scope of practice.

Responsibilities include patient flow management, history taking, exam preparation, procedure assistance, EMR management, vital signs, and room upkeep. A CMA and BLS are preferred/required within set timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Required or GED.
• BLS within 3 months of hire within 90 Days Required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience (Medium proficiency).
• Basic Medical Terminology (Low proficiency).
• Electronic Scheduling (Low proficiency).

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
• Fulfills patient care responsibilities including managing schedules and patient flow.
• Assists with procedures and examinations as required.
• Maintains room cleanliness and stocks supplies.
• Assists in EMR/EHR management and ordering.
• Participates in daily huddles and team meetings.
