Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and mid-level providers across patient care activities. You will manage patient flow, prepare exam rooms, and document information in the EHR while coordinating with the PMS for referrals and orders.

This role may require travel to satellite offices to cover multiple sites. You should have a high school diploma, completion of a medical assistant program, and BLS certification, with 0–1 year of related experience (2–4 preferred).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program is required.
• 0-1 year related work experience is required; 2-4 years preferred.
• BLS (or within 30 days of hire) required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, is required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and organize workflow.
• Basic computer proficiency required.
• Travel to satellite offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room.
• Escorts patient into the room.
• Cleans examination room after visits.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Documents information in the EHR.
• Provides referrals and/or consult orders in PMS and EHR.
• Adheres to safety and disposal procedures.
• Travels to satellite offices as needed.
