Job summary

Direct-Orthopedic-Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in McKinney, TX. This full-time role supports the front desk and clinical team, handling insurance authorizations and patient hospitality to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, documenting medical records, checking in guests, verifying insurance, collecting copays, and supporting the DOC staff with daily administrative tasks while upholding HIPAA standards and guest

Qualifications

• Ability to apply DME and prepare for in-office procedures.
• Prepare guests with clinical and administrative information needed for surgery as directed by physician when applicable.
• Assist with documentation in the medical record.
• Complete all chart prep.
• Send/receive medical records.
• Check-in guests and collect demographic information, verify insurance coverage and collect copays.
• Provide support for front desk duties and all DOC office team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hospitality efforts by maintaining a courteous, attentive, and professional manner.
• Support the clinical team and guest care in collaboration with a Provider.
• Maintain guest confidentiality and ensure PHI is secure; comply with HIPAA regulations.
