Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform direct patient care, lab tests, and medication administration under supervision. You will also handle clerical tasks, data entry, and support the clinical staff across the practice.

The role involves preparing patients for exams, ensuring accurate documentation, and communicating issues to the physician or nurse. Prior outpatient or MA program experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or next level of higher education.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice.
• Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in accordance with hospital/physician practices policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collect patient healthcare data including VS, weight, chief complaint and pain assessment.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Document accurately and timely; ensure completeness of records.
• Communicate pertinent information of problems to physician or nurse.
• Assist with clerical tasks to support patient care and office operations.
