Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across our dermatology practice network. The role involves collecting patient information, entering data into the EHR, and preparing patients for examinations under physician supervision.

The position requires basic medical office experience, HIPAA knowledge, and familiarity with the ModMed EMA EMR. You will work closely with physicians to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical office preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred.
• Familiarity with ModMed EMA EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information and medical history.
• Enter medical history and visit data into the EHR.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for the physician.
• Assist physician during examinations and procedures.
• Phone prescriptions to pharmacies and schedule procedures.
• Prepare patients for exams and change wound dressings as needed.
• Sterilize medical instruments and maintain supplies.
