Job summary

OhioHealth seeks a Medical Assistant to provide administrative and clinical support as delegated by the physician. The role assists with patient care in accordance with applicable regulations and helps prepare patients for visits while documenting in the EMR and supporting a safe, efficient clinic workflow.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, medical assistant training, and BLS. Day shift, 40 hours weekly, in the Neuro MS department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or related training is preferred.
• Experience as a physician-trained Medical Assistant is valued.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates efficient patient flow and prepares patients for visits.
• Completes EMR documentation and maintains accurate records.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and reports equipment issues.
• Communicates with patients and care team to ensure quality care and coordination.

Medical Assistant Career Technical Program

Graduation from School of Medical Assisting

Military Medic training

Certification as Paramedic EMT-P
