UnitedHealth Group's Optum division seeks a Medical Assistant to deliver high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. You'll collect vitals, document information, assist with procedures, and support coordination of care with providers and staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by date of hire or willingness.
• 1+ year experience as Medical Assistant.

Responsabilités

• Delivers high-quality patient care through face-to-face, telephone, and electronic contact for exams, treatment, monitoring, and prep for tests.
• Collects and documents patient information, vital signs, chief complaints, allergies, and medication reviews.
• Assists physicians and nursing staff with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and other procedures.
• Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians and policies.
• Handles calls and messages; documents actions.
• Maintains EMR and paper-based documentation for assessments and procedures.
• Prepares and cleans patient rooms and maintains infection control.
