Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians in examinations, patient flow, and diagnostic procedures such as EKGs and venipuncture. You will document vital signs, medical history, and maintain supplies for smooth office operations.

Compliance with HIPAA and coordination with staff to ensure high-quality patient care are essential. Prior healthcare experience is preferred and certifications must be obtained within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire (American Heart Association preferred).

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors and other staff in line with Jefferson values.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and ensures proper identification.
• Performs and documents vital signs and medical history information.
• Maintains knowledge of information systems within scope of practice.
• Assists physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures including EKG and venipuncture/injections.
