Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• At least one year experience as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assist Medical and Clinical Director with patient examinations or procedures.
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics and test results.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping rooms neat and clean.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies and insurers.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications and physician's instructions to patients.
• Assist in HME department as needed.
• Send medical records when requested.
• Work with and assist other departments in daily functions and activities.
• Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Office Manager.
