Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, medical assisting diploma, or college coursework in medical assisting.
• Minimum one year of recent experience as a medical assistant in a medical facility.
• Gastroenterology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and manage patient flow.
• Perform clerical tasks: scheduling, records, forms, insurance verification.
• Coordinate patient check-in/out and maintain chart accuracy.
• Respond to emergencies and uphold patient rights.
• Other duties as assigned.
