Job summary

Reno Orthopedic Center (ROC) is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our team at the main Reno location. The role involves assisting physicians with patient care, managing clinical tasks, and supporting communication to ensure smooth healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

• CMA or RMA certification or one year of experience in a medical setting required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations and patient privacy is expected.
• Good customer service skills and understanding of clinical operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient appointments by reviewing and updating patient records and tests.
• Greet patients, guide them to the exam room, and update visit status.
• Conduct initial medical screening including blood pressure and history, documented in EMR.
• Assist physician with treatments and injections using sterile technique.
• Handle prescription refills and coordinate tests and authorizations as needed.

Education

CMA/RMA Certification or 1 year medical setting experience
