Job summary

Reno Orthopedic Center is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care at our Carson City location. The role includes preparing patients, documenting in the electronic medical record, assisting with procedures, and handling treatment-related duties and communications to ensure smooth clinic operations.

The ideal candidate will have CMA/RMA certification or ABR Order Entry credentials or at least one year of medical setting experience, plus HS diploma.

Qualifications

• CMA/RMA certification or ABOE Order Entry credential OR one year of medical setting experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations/procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for appointments by updating records and guiding them to the room.
• Assist physicians with procedures and treatments.
• Document medical histories, vitals, and visit details in the EMR.
• Maintain infection control standards and clean exam rooms between patients.
• Address patient questions and coordinate with staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
