Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in ambulatory care settings. You will perform both direct and indirect patient care, document data in the EMR, and ensure smooth patient flow under supervision.

The ideal candidate has graduate MA training, BLS, and is prepared to obtain the Medication Administration Competency Certification within 90 days. Prior ambulatory clinic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Medication Administration Competency Certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize patient visits with all tests and documentation ready for clinician review.
• Collect vital signs, patient history, and current medications.
• Document all patient data in the EMR and use SBAR and KP HealthConnect tools as directed.
• Assist clinicians with rooming patients and performing routine procedures.
• Ensure exam room has supplies and is cleaned after each visit; provide after-visit instructions.
