Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist in examination and treatment under physician direction. Responsibilities include patient intake, vital signs, room preparation, and support for clinicians.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, Medical Assistant certification, and Basic Life Support. Prior Kaiser Permanente externship or six months' experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience or externship in Kaiser Permanente.
• High School Diploma or GED and completion of Medical Assistants program as specified by the Medical Board of California.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsabilités

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs; records information in the medical record.
• Prepares treatment rooms and assists clinician during examinations and procedures; inventories and replenishes supplies.
• Schedules appointments and performs clinical tasks; may administer medications and injections as required.
• Maintains a clean, orderly work environment and supports customer service standards as defined by Kaiser Permanente.
