Riverside Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant in Williamsburg, VA to support clinic patient flow and provide hands-on care under physician supervision. You will prepare exam rooms, obtain vital signs, assist with medications and vaccines, and help coordinate referrals and education for patients.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant program credential, a High School diploma, and CPR/BLS certification.

Competenze

• Requires CMA or RMA within 1 year (Preferred)
• CPR/BLS Certification - Required Upon Hire (AHA/ARC/A SHI)
• Less than 1 year clinical experience (Preferred)

Mansioni

• Maintains clinical competency and updates patient records by interviewing patients and confirming visit purpose
• Prepares patients for examination, takes vital signs, and sanitizes exam rooms
• Administers medications and vaccines under physician supervision and processes prescription refills
• Manages patient access to care with appointments and referrals, and provides after-visit instructions in the EMR
• Performs phlebotomy, specimen processing, and point-of-care testing as applicable
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and coding guidelines; supports productivity and quality measures
