Riverside Health System in Newport News, Virginia is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the physician and practice manager. You will help manage clinic patient flow, interview patients, record vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and assist with procedures.

You may float to other practices within the region, administer medications and vaccines under supervision, handle refills, inventory, and ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance while delivering compassionate, timely care.

Competenze

• Education: High School Diploma or GED plus Medical Assistant program.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred.
• Certifications listed upon hire (CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCCT, MA, etc.).

Mansioni

• Maintains clinical competency per Riverside Medical Group standards.
• Interview patients and confirm purpose of visit; record vital signs.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain sanitation.
• Administer medications and vaccines under physician supervision.
• Process prescription refill requests and coordinate with pharmacies.
• Manage medical supplies and inventory.
• Ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance and proper documentation.
• Assist with patient education as directed.
• Assist with scheduling tests and referrals as needed.
• Support provider productivity and quality measures.
