Job summary

CMPI Coastal Medical Physicians, Inc., d/b/a Brown Health Medical Group Primary Care seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an ambulatory setting under supervision. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Graduate of a formal Medical Assistant training program or a minimum of three years of Medical Assistant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examinations and documents vital signs, chief complaints, med histories, and test results in the EMR.
• Performs point-of-care testing and assists providers with examinations and procedures using aseptic technique.
• Administers vaccines and handles vaccines and PPDs per protocol; tracks labs, referrals, and coordination of care.
