Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with medical software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and documenting chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures.
• Coordinate patient care including referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.
• Maintain medical records and ensure timely billing information.
• Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment and proper sterilization practices.
• Order supplies and manage medication-related tasks.
• Communicate effectively with patients and external contacts.
• Complete onboarding and orientation activities as directed.
• Interact with staff and providers to support patient care.
