Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or at least one year as a Medical Assistant or CCMA/NCRMA certification.

Responsibilities

• Schedules tests, prepares specimens, and maintains records according to policy.
• Assists physicians/nurses with procedures and examinations as defined on competency checklist.
• Collaborates with care team to coordinate patient care and document history for clinical staff review.
• Transmits prescriptions and refills to outpatient pharmacies electronically or by fax.
• Maintains medical records and logs; ensures documentation is complete and accessible.
• Stocking and organizing examination rooms; maintaining logs and equipment checks.
• Performs clerical duties including greeting patients, scheduling, pre-certification, and insurance forms processing.
• Performs basic clinical tasks and vitals as directed by clinicians.
