Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient flow and clinical operations in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will prepare charts, assist during visits, and help ensure accurate medical records and efficient care.

The role requires a Medical Assistant program completion, a high school diploma, strong organizational skills, and BLS certification. Experience with EMR and CPT/ICD-10 knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal Medical Assistant program completion required.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 coding familiarity, and pharmacology relevant to MA scope.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and record vital signs.
• Maintain a sterile, organized, and safe clinical environment.
• Manage medical records and EMR input.
• Communicate patient concerns to physicians/providers.
• Coordinate with pharmacies and insurers for medication authorizations.
