Merit Health Natchez is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under supervision of a medical provider. You will assist with procedures, maintain exam rooms, manage patient intake, and help ensure efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent service to patients and staff.

The role requires completing a Medical Assistant program (preferred) and 0-1 years of experience in a medical setting, with BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or externship required.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with non-invasive procedures and vital signs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms for patient visits and procedures.
• Handle patient intake, report test results, triage calls, and document information.
• Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and verify insurance eligibility.
• Maintain organized workload and deliver courteous, efficient service.
