Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation, CANTON, OH, is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Canton South Family Practice. The role supports physicians/APNs, performs routine clinical tasks, and assists with patient education in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, collecting medications, and coordinating tests. A two-year commitment may apply for the sign-on bonus. Work hours are full-time with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting Program.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Must have current CPR training.
• Completion of OSHA, HIPAA, Safety and Employee Health service standards.
• Prompt and regular attendance.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Team-oriented and independent work capability.

Responsibilities

• Check schedules for add-ons or updates.
• Review medical records prior to visits for completeness.
• Room patients, obtain vital signs and medications list.
• May perform EKGs, lab testing, injections and venipuncture under supervision.
• Refill prescriptions per policy.
• Arrange procedures and tests with pre-certification and physician orders.
• Document accurately in medical records and assist with scribing.
• Provide patient education on tests and medications.
• Return patient calls by end of business day.
• Maintain exam rooms and comply with policies.
