Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation in North Canton, OH is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for a full-time day shift (7:00 am–5:00 pm, M/W/H/F). A sign-on bonus of up to $2,400 is available for qualified candidates.

The role supports physicians and APPs, educates patients and families, and coordinates care with the office team. CPR certification and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting Program.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Current CPR training.
• Prompt and regular attendance with infrequent absenteeism and tardiness.
• Ability to meet and interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under high stress with frequent interruptions.
• Must be able to work as a team and independently.
• Maintain a positive, friendly, and compassionate attitude.
• Must possess the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Check the physician and/or APN schedules frequently for add-ons or updates.
• Review patient medical records prior to visits and verify completeness.
• Room patients promptly and obtain vital signs and current meds.
• May perform EKGs, lab testing, injections and venipuncture under supervision.
• Refill prescriptions according to office policy.
• Arrange for hospital procedures and tests, including precertification and scheduling.
