Job summary

Advocate Medical Group in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support the care team in a busy family medicine clinic. You will take vitals, document histories, prepare patients for exams, assist providers, and help with lab tasks and vaccines while maintaining patient confidentiality and compassionate care.

Hours are 40 per week, schedule includes rotating weekdays and one every-other Saturday morning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience within the last 5 years.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
