Job summary

Providence PACE Oregon seeks a Medical Assistant to join the care team. The MA will collaborate with the nursing team and PCP to provide basic patient care and perform administrative and clinical duties per established policies.

The role requires completion of an accredited MA program with externship or two years of medical training, plus certification including phlebotomy training, BLS, and CMA certification.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Medical Assistant program that includes an externship or two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or equivalent education/experience.
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy program or allied health program with phlebotomy training, or phlebotomy training within 60 days of hire.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification.
• 6 months healthcare experience.
• 6 months Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing basic patient care under supervision and in accordance with policies.
• Collaborate with the nursing team and PCP to meet patient care needs.
• Perform administrative and clinical duties as directed per established procedures.

Education

Accredited Medical Assistant program with externship

Phlebotomy program or allied health program with phlebotomy training

National Medical Assistant Certification

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

6 months healthcare experience
