Job summary

Mercyhealth is hiring a Medical Assistant in Crystal Lake, IL to support daily clinic operations and patient care, including prep, exams, procedures, and basic lab tasks. You will also handle scheduling, records, referrals, payments, and supply management.

The role requires completion of an ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited program or equivalent, CPR/BLS certification within 90 days, and clinical rotation experience preferred. Excellent communication and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited medical assistant program or equivalent.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with clinical rotations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and prepares them for exams and procedures.
• Assists with exams, treatments, and basic lab tasks.
• Answers phones, triages, and routes inquiries as needed.
• Schedules appointments and records reminders in the scheduler.
• Registers patients and keeps charts up to date.
• Manages referrals, payments, and clinic supplies.
