Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient intake, room patients, and assist in examinations and procedures across multiple clinics in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.

Ideal candidates will have ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited training, CPR/BLS readiness within 90 days, and experience with EMR and scheduling software. This role emphasizes team-based care and accurate charting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical assistant program accredited by ABHES/CAAHEP or equivalent with institutional accreditation.
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days preferred.
• Experience in a clinical rotation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, collects assessment data and prepares patient.
• Assists in examination, treatment and clinic procedures.
• Assists with lab procedures and screening tests.
• Answers calls and triages inquiries to appropriate personnel.
