Job summary

Sutter Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support to the patient care team at PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation MPD. The role focuses on assisting with the medical plan of care, preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and maintaining efficient department workflow.

The ideal candidate holds an MA diploma, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of relevant experience; completion of an MA externship is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program; diploma due within 90 days.
• Completion of MA externship (160 hours).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• 1 year of recent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support to providers and the patient care team.
• Assist in implementing the medical plan of care.
• Perform back-office and patient-related tasks.
• Ensure smooth patient workflow within the department.
