Job summary

Riverside Medical Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical offices based on operational needs. The role includes assisting physicians, ensuring infection control, and maintaining patient flow with accurate charting and test scheduling.

The candidate will prepare patients, take vital signs, document procedures, and assist with injections, medications, and basic therapies. BLS certification is required, with a high school diploma or GED and MEDICAL ASSISTANT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year medical group experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification and Current AHA BLS Healthcare certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient examinations under a Physician or Allied Health professional.
• Maintain infection control and sterile technique.
• Prepare patients with vital signs, charting, and scheduling of tests/procedures.
• Administer prescribed medication orally or by injection and document dosage.
• Perform EKG, pulse oximetry, inhalation treatments, and operate related equipment.
• Complete and verify medical chart documentation; ensure physician orders are carried out.
• Inventory and order medical supplies; discard expired samples and supplies.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
