AdventHealth is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinic operations and patient care in Desoto, Kansas. The role includes clinical intake, documenting results, patient education, and ensuring an efficient office flow while maintaining confidentiality.

Minimum education is a high school graduate with BLS/CPR and CMA CMAC or similar certification. The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment at a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of chronic disease management.
• Knowledge of and ability to utilize internal and external resources.
• Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems.
• Ability to function in stressful, fast-paced environments and manage stress.
• Ability to resolve issues and work independently within the scope of certification.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain professional demeanor.
• Able to read, write, and type in English to perform job requirements.
• Experience with computers.

Responsabilités

• Travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment and document results in the system.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and safety processes.
• Provide whole care to patients during visits including intake, tests and medications.
• Monitor inventory and ensure supplies and equipment are functioning.
• Educate patients about tests, medications and diet.
• Support staff by assisting patients, visitors, and coworkers.
