AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations and patient care. You will perform clinical intake, prepare patients and equipment, document results, and assist with minor procedures as part of a collaborative care team.

The role requires at least high school education, CPR/ CMA/ CMAC type credentials, and 1+ year of related experience. Excellent organization and English communication are essential.

Formación

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• 1+ year related work experience preferred.
• CPR certification and medical assisting credentials are required.

Responsabilidades

• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Maintains policies and procedures in compliance with organizational standards.
• Maintains education requirements and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and tests.
• Prepares patients and equipment for treatment, initiates testing, and documents results.
• Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance.
• Provides care during office visits including intake, test results, screenings, labs, and medication administration.
• Maintains confidentiality of employee and patient information.
• Supports staff teamwork and assists patients, visitors, and co-workers.
• Performs clinical intake including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
• Assists with minor procedures and ensures proper documentation.
• Educates patients regarding tests, medications, and diet.
• Monitors inventory and ensures functioning medical equipment.
