Job summary

Evening Pediatrics seeks a Medical Assistant to coordinate scheduling, check-in/check-out, and maintain patient records. You will assist Providers during exams, prepare rooms, take vitals, and help with medications as directed. Strong pediatric experience and HIPAA awareness are valued.

The role requires a High School diploma, 1 year of related experience, CPR, and proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Office. Weekend availability may be required in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• High School degree plus 1 year related experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification highly preferred.
• CPR certification required or essential.
• Basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology and pharmacology.
• Pediatric experience highly desired.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily administrative tasks including scheduling, check-in and check-out.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist Providers during procedures.
• Record patient medical histories, vitals and test results in medical records.
• Greet patients and guests and guide them to the exam area.
• Assist with patient prep and post-visit care coordination with PCPs and hospitals.
• Answer calls and return messages within 24 hours; manage EMR entries.
• Administer medications as directed by Providers.
• Ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance and maintain patient privacy.
