A busy Pediatrics practice is seeking a Medical Assistant to work from Wednesday to Saturday. The candidate will perform tasks including taking vitals, administering vaccines, and maintaining treatment areas. Strong communication skills with children and the ability to multitask are essential. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma and preferred experience in a medical setting. Formación

Description

Medical Assistant needed Wednesday-Saturday for busy Pediatrics practice. Certification preferred. Experience preferred, but not required. Duties to include preparing patients to see the physicians by taking vitals, performing screenings, rapid testing, administering vaccines and preparing lab samples. Ideal candidate has a sunny disposition, communicates well with children, is able to multi-task and work as part of a team.

Medical Assistant Essential Functions:

• Perform a wide range of administrative and clinical tasks, including obtaining and documenting patient medical histories, answering and directing phone calls, and ensuring completion of all necessary forms
• Maintain medical supply inventory and perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation
  Prepare patients for examinations by conducting preliminary physical assessments, taking vital signs, and summarizing patient history for providers
• Set up and maintain clean, organized treatment rooms for clinical examinations
• Communicate physician instructions to patients and answer basic questions regarding treatment and care
• Provide compassionate support and assistance to patients and their families throughout their visit
• Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA
• Assist providers, clinical staff, and other team members as needed
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support overall clinic operations

Medical Assistant Required Skills/Abilities:

• Solid understanding of medical procedures, administrative workflows, and organizational policies
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Proficient in a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and records management
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership when needed
• Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to express ideas effectively
• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Committed to providing exceptional patient care and customer service
• Demonstrates the ability to meet performance goals and deadlines consistently

Schedule:

• Wednesday & Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm
• Thursday 8:30am - 7:30pm
• Saturday 8:45M -2:00pm

Medical Assistant Education and Experience:
