Onyx South in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time position to support clinicians and ensure smooth operation of the medical facility. You will provide both clinical and administrative support, including patient care, medical records management, and handling a variety of tasks to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, completion of a certified medical assisting program, and at least one year of MA experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certified medical assisting program or equivalent training.
• One year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or administrative setting.
• Certification as CMA or RMA preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and providing post-procedure care.
• Manage medical records, including maintaining patient files, updating medical histories, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, processing insurance claims, and handling patient inquiries.
• Stock and organize medical supplies, ensuring that all equipment is in proper working order.
• Assist with clinical tasks such as drawing blood, administering medications, and performing basic laboratory tests.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
