Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our clinics in Altoona, State College, and Johnstown. This part-time role (25–32 hours/week) involves assisting physicians, preparing rooms, handling patient interactions, and managing basic scheduling and records.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience, experience with vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, and completion of a MA training program;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role, required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a comfortable experience.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist with medical procedures as directed.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient records.
• Maintain a clean and organized medical environment, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and in working order.
• Educate patients on medication instructions and post-procedure care.
• Support the medical team with additional tasks as required
