We currently have clinics located in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie.
Summary:
Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is currently seeking Medical Assistant (MA) candidates to join our Pediatric Team! This is a part-time position working 18 hours per week in Boulder, on Mondays and Fridays.
- Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, company-paid life insurance, and several voluntary benefits, RTD EcoPass, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO), and six (6) paid holidays annually.
- Part-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, voluntary benefits, RTD EcoPass, 401(k), and holiday pay if regularly scheduled to work on an observed holiday.
- Day shift schedules are Monday through Friday.
- Experience working in both primary care and specialty care clinics is preferred.
Job Duties:
- Provide comprehensive professional nursing care to individuals and/or families, acting as the patient’s advocate, facilitator, and educator.
- Recognize, evaluate, and respond to emergency or unusual situations in the clinic, using nursing judgment to ensure medical care.
- Assist and instruct patients in preparation for the provider’s examination and/or specific treatment.
- Prepare examination/treatment rooms for provider’s use by ensuring that supplies, equipment, and instruments are available and ready daily. Maintain examination/treatment rooms in a neat and orderly manner.
- Assist the provider with examinations by anticipating needs for instruments and supplies (e.g., minor surgery, pelvic examinations, diagnostic procedures).
Experience and Skills
- Must be able to recognize and identify patient symptoms and use appropriate professional judgment in decision-making.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to and work at all four BMC sites, as assigned.
- Must be available by phone to accept assignment changes as needed.
Education Requirements (one of the following):
- Completion of Medical Assistant education. Certification is not required but preferred.
- Other completed medical training, education, and proof of active certification (e.g., EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA, etc.) are acceptable substitutes for Medical Assistant-specific credentials.
- Military medical training and education with supporting documentation are acceptable substitutes.
- College graduates with a completed four-year bachelor's degree are acceptable substitutes, provided transcripts reflect completed health science coursework. Please submit a copy of your unofficial college transcripts when applying.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
Pay Range:
- The starting hourly pay range is $18.91 - $25.21, commensurate with experience. The full pay range is $18.91 - $28.36.
