Spero Health, Inc. seeks a Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our team in Springfield, MA. You will support integrated care by assisting providers with exams, vitals, and administrative tasks in a patient-centered environment.

The role requires 1-3 years of MA experience (Phlebotomy/injections preferred) and CPR certification. You will handle scheduling, charting in the EHR, and patient education, while aiding with insurance authorizations and cash handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.
• 1-3 years MA experience preferred; CPR certification required.

Responsabilités

• Schedule patient appointments.
• Answer incoming calls and check voice messages.
• Check patients in/out and monitor patient flow.
• Perform urine drug screens, take vitals, assist with patient evaluations.
• Call in patient medications as directed by Physician.
• Input accurate patient information into electronic health record.
• Send prior-authorizations to insurance.
• Perform daily financial summaries and balance payments.
• Responsible for cash collection and verification of benefits.
• Review the Prescription Monitoring Database.
• Provide education and resource information regarding medication.

The Part-Time Medical Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Scheduling patient appointments.
• Answering in-coming calls and checking voice messages regularly.
• Check patients in/out, monitor patient flow.
• Perform urine drug screens, takes vitals, assist with patient evaluations.
• Call in patient medication as directed by Physician.
• Input accurate patient information into electronic health record.
• Sending prior-authorizations to insurance companies.
• Perform daily financial summary and balance of payments received.
• Responsible for cash collection and verification of benefits.

• Provide education and resource information regarding medication.

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma required
• Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assisting preferred

Experience:

• 1-3 years as a Medical Assistant (or similar type role)
• Phlebotomy and lab experience preferred
• Experience with injections preferred
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification
