SIMEDHealth in Lady Lake, FL is seeking compassionate, detail-oriented Part-Time Medical Assistants to support multiple clinics. The role focuses on patient care, accurate record keeping, and smooth clinic operations during morning or afternoon blocks.

You will work on-site with patient scheduling, EHR documentation, medication refill coordination, and basic procedures under supervision. BLS/CPR certification required, and prior MA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program or national certification.
• 1–2 years of experience using electronic health records (EHR) preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a private medical office or hospital setting preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and complete patient information in the EHR.
• Welcome patients to the exam room and document vitals in the EHR.
• Coordinate medication refill requests between patients and providers.
• Administer prescribed medications (injections, oral, topical) per training.
• Assist with procedures (EKGs, spirometry, dressings, wound care) as needed.
• Triaging patient calls and provide medical information.
• Assist with referrals and authorizations for procedures and surgeries.

Join Our Patient-Focused Team as a Part-Time Medical Assistant in Lady Lake! The schedule will be blocked scheduling 8-12PM or 1-5PM daily. SIMEDHealth is looking for compassionate and detail-oriented Part-Time Medical Assistants to join our dedicated teams across several clinics in our Lady Lake office. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient flow of our clinical operations. Your commitment to customer service, safety, and professionalism will directly impact the patient experience.

What You'll Need:

• Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or National Certification (preferred)
• Previous experience (1-2 years) using electronic health records (preferred)
• At least one year of experience in a private medical office or hospital setting (preferred)
• Bilingual abilities are a plus!

Your Role Will Involve:

• Ensuring accurate and complete patient information is readily available in their electronic medical records
• Welcoming patients to the exam room and efficiently documenting their vital signs in the EHR
• Serving as a key point of contact for medication refill requests, coordinating between patients and providers
• Administering prescribed medications (injections, oral, topical) according to your training and qualifications
• Skillfully assisting with and performing various patient procedures (EKGs, spirometry, dressings, wound care, etc.) based on your expertise and clinic needs
• Triaging patient phone calls with care and providing helpful responses to their medical inquiries
• Proactively assisting patients with the often-complex process of referrals and authorizations for procedures and surgeries

This position requires on-site work due to the essential job functions, which include direct patient care and use of on-site medical equipment. Remote work is not available.
