SIMEDHealth in Lady Lake, FL is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our patient-focused team. The schedule blocks 8-12PM or 1-5PM daily, with on-site work and direct patient care using on-site equipment.

You will welcome patients, document vitals in the EHR, assist with medications and a range of procedures (EKGs, dressings, wound care), triage calls, and help with referrals and authorizations as needed. BLS/CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or National Certification is preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience using electronic health records is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a private medical office or hospital setting is preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Ensuring accurate and complete patient information is readily available in their electronic medical records.
• Welcoming patients to the exam room and documenting vital signs in the EHR.
• Coordinating between patients and providers for medication refill requests.
• Administering prescribed medications (injections, oral, topical) according to training.
• Assisting with procedures (EKGs, spirometry, dressings, wound care) as needed.
• Triaging patient phone calls and providing responses to medical inquiries.
• Assisting with referrals and authorizations for procedures and surgeries.
