Participants complete an internal SEP training program overseen by the Education Team, culminating in a final competency check and potential full-time placement as a Medical Assistant. Reports to the Manager, the Medical Assistant Paid Training Program is an accelerated training course created for candidates who have a desire to begin their career in the medical field and become a Medical Assistant. As an MA Intern participant, you are required to successfully complete the internal MA training program. This program is conducted and overseen by the SEP Education Team and the determination of your successful completion is at their full discretion. You will be required to pass a final check off in two phases: after hands‑on training with the Education Team and after in‑office training with a preceptor. The MA Intern is responsible for compliance with all OSHA/CLIA and HIPAA regulations and ensuring completion of all duties vital to business operations. The MA Intern is responsible for creating a positive impression with patients, family members, and other visitors to the office.

Medical Assistant Paid Training Program
January 4, 2027 – March 26, 2027
Minimum: H.S. Diploma/GED
Successful completion of SEP training program required to maintain employment
External Candidates: 1 year of work experience (excluding non-paid externships)
Preferred: CNA vocational school or other healthcare experience.
Internal Candidates: PSR or Phlebotomist with SEP; waiving one year in current role if staying in same office or with Transfer Exception.
A signed Work/Training Agreement upon acceptance into the program, committing to giving TWO YEARS of employment to SEP. If 2 years of employment with SEP is not successfully completed, repayment of the training will be required.
