Job summary

Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless seeks two full-time Medical Assistants to support our clinic and field outreach in Albuquerque. The role involves rooming patients, taking history and vital signs, assisting providers, wound care and lab procedures, and stocking exam rooms at the AHCH clinic located at 1217 1st St NW.

Ideal candidates have MA training, prior experience with electronic health records, and a team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience documenting services in an electronic health record.
• Ability to thrive in a complex healthcare setting.
• Team player with compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take basic medical history and vital signs.
• Assist providers in various procedures.
• Perform wound care, injections/immunization, and lab procedures- blood draws, specimen preparation and handling.
• Prepare and stock examination rooms.
• Participate in medical outreaches in the Bernalillo County service area.
