Job summary

Foundation Medical Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant for its enhanced float pool serving multiple sites in the Nashua area. The role involves providing delegated clinical and administrative support under supervision, in person, by phone, and via telehealth.

You will perform patient assessments, administer treatments, maintain records, and coordinate care, while supporting preventive outreach and staff training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a medical assisting program and clinical externship required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification; certification/registration by AAMA/AMT/NHA/NCCT required.
• Minimum of 2 years as a clinical medical assistant (3 years preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support patient care across in-person, phone, and telehealth settings under provider supervision.
• Administer medications, treatments, immunizations, and point-of-care testing.
• Maintain accurate medical record documentation and assist with pre-visit planning and outreach.
• Mentor and train staff and participate in ongoing education and safety compliance.

The clinical float pool includes Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), and Medical Assistants (MA), who provide interim coverage of staffing needs on a short-term basis across multiple sites. Float pool staff perform a variety of clinical functions in any of our family practices at multiple sites across Southern New Hampshire.

About the Job:

The Medical Assistant performs delegated clinical and administrative functions in the care of patients under the direct supervision of a provider and practice manager. This role supports patient care in person, via telephone, and through telehealth modalities, ensuring adherence to professional standards and state regulations.

What You'll Do:

• Support patient care across in-person, phone, and telehealth settings under provider supervision, including patient assessment and care coordination.
• Administer medications, treatments, immunizations, and point-of-care testing while collecting patient history and communicating findings to providers.
• Maintain accurate medical record documentation, assist with pre-visit planning, preventive care outreach, and related administrative functions.
• Mentor and train staff, uphold safety and compliance standards, and participate in ongoing education and professional development.

Who You Are / Requirements:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assisting program and clinical externship required.
• Licensure/Certification: Current BLS/CPR certification; certification or registration by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a clinical medical assistant (3 years preferred).
• Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office workflow.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy; Epic EMR experience preferred.
