Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Bergen County, NJ seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians in an outpatient clinic. You will greet patients, obtain vitals, update EMR records, and assist with daily clinic operations in Paramus and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, maintaining documentation, coordinating referrals, and communicating with pharmacies and laboratories to ensure timely patient care. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic EMR and MS Office knowledge required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, record vitals and histories.
• Maintain patient records in EMR with documentation and coding.
• Assist clinicians and staff with delegated patient care tasks.
• Prepare and disinfect examination rooms and maintain a clean environment.
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, prescriptions, and orders.
• Communicate with pharmacies and other providers to support care.
