Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory clinics in northern Illinois. This per diem position offers weekday daytime hours with opportunities for evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call pay.

Responsibilities include patient intake, vitals, and assisting clinicians in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. Requires completion of an accredited MA program or 2+ years of relevant experience, plus certification (RMA/AAMA/CCMA/NCCT) and BLS/CPR).

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Associate degree program or Medical Assistant program or have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
• At least one year of professional experience in a clinic setting is preferred; computer experience is required.
• RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification is required upon hire; Basic Life Support/CPR certification required; active certification must be maintained.

Work Schedule

Per Diem, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, you will work at UW Health N. Alpine Clinic 1253 N Alpine Rd.

Additional components of compensation may include

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Qualifications
