Job summary

OK-SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in patient examinations and documentation.

You will accompany the provider, transcribe histories and exams, and document procedures in the medical chart. Responsibilities include recording patient histories, performing chart documentation, transcribing test results, and ensuring follow-up instructions are accurately recorded under physician guidance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with documentation of each patient’s medical chart during encounters.
• Document all procedures performed by the physician, physician extenders, or nurses, on the medical chart.
• Transcribe consultations or discussions with family and/or the patient’s private physician or the on-call physician.
• Complete the patient’s charts by transcribing results of labs, x-rays, or other evaluations.
• List all diagnoses and discharge/follow-up instructions and prescriptions under physician guidance.
• May occasionally assist with some patient-related duties.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
