Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is hiring a Full Time Medical Assistant / Surgery Scheduler for a busy orthopedic physician in South OKC. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, documenting in the EHR, processing referrals and authorizations, and scheduling surgeries and diagnostics.

Qualifications

• One year medical office scheduling preferred.
• Epic EHR knowledge is a plus.
• Orthopedic experience preferred but not required.
• Worker's Compensation knowledge is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist the provider with exams and documentation.
• Take vitals and document accurately in the EHR.
• Process referrals, prescriptions and forms.
• Schedule surgeries and diagnostic procedures.
• Obtain authorizations from workers' comp and private insurers.
• Collaborate with referral sources including physicians, adjusters and case managers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
