**As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will support our clinical team by:**

1. Providing Patient Care: Assisting clinicians in gathering information relevant to the patient's visit and condition.
2. Effective Communication: Clearly communicating with patients via phone and in person.
3. Team Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality patient care, with attention to detail and follow-through.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (certification required upon hire), or
• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience (verified upon hire), or
• Current RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state.

Additional requirements include:

• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers, obtained prior to start date.
• Basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively to deliver high patient satisfaction.
• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI).

**Note:** Utah caregivers with less than one year of MA experience may attend a yearlong MA residency program.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Experience in outpatient clinics or healthcare settings.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Current national MA certification (RMA, NCMA, CCMA, CMA).

**Physical Requirements:**

• Visual and manual dexterity for operating equipment and documentation.
• Ability to lift and transfer patients, and to navigate busy clinical environments.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and drive when required.

The hourly pay range is $19.97 - $29.74, depending on experience.
