Mammoth Hospital in Bishop, CA is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for the Bishop clinic. The successful candidate will work with clinical staff, front desk personnel and other departments to support patient care from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Responsibilities include vital signs, assisting procedures, EHR checks, and patient instructions. CMA preferred; BLS required; phlebotomy certificate preferred.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred and BLS certification required.
• CMA certification preferred.

• Record vital signs and pertinent information for RN/LVN/clinician.
• Assist clinician with procedures.
• Maintain and clean exam/treatment areas and equipment.
• Instruct patients on lab, radiology and other procedures.

Job Details: Job Location: Bishop - Bishop, CA 93514, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $25.89 - $36.87 Hourly, Job Shift: Day, The Medical Assistant (MA) is part of a team concept for the delivery of patient care in the ambulatory clinic setting with an emphasis on disease prevention and health maintenance. This individual will work closely with the clinical staff, front desk personnel and other related departments. MA's assist in caring for the patient from a variety of ages ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, under the direction of physicians, mid-level providers, and nursing staff. MA is responsible for performing assigned duties within his/her capabilities and scope of practice. As part of a health care team, they must be able to follow directions and work under close supervision.

What You'll Do:

• Anticipate the needs of the clinician and carries out orders.
• Checks Electronic Health Record (EHR) for patients' arrival status and escorts patients from waiting area to exam rooms.
• Obtains, records, and reports vital signs and any other pertinent patient information for the RN, LVN, or clinician.
• Assists clinician with procedures.
• Maintains and cleans exam/treatment areas, specimen processing areas, and medical equipment.
• Instructs patient on lab, radiology, and other procedure/testing preparations.

What You’ll Need:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.

Job Information:

Full-time, varied day shifts in our Bishop clinic. Starting wage $25.89 to $31.38 based on qualifications.
